Great White Egret

The largest of the white egrets, it is about the size of a Grey Heron but pure white with a long yellow beak. They tend to be quite solitary and are usually seen on any water bodies and the increased flooding on the Adur Brooks is encouraging them to come into the parish. They are now seen pretty frequently, including a couple of sightings on the roof of houses in the parish!
